DIANABOL

Dianabol (Methandienone or Methandrostenolone) is one of the most widely used oral steroids for both strength and mass gains. It has been around the body building circuit for many years and could be attributed to many of the great physiques from the last three decades. It has definitely stood the test of time and is great as a starter when stacked.

Dianabol promotes the protein synthesis, thus it supports the build-up of protein. This gives the athlete a positive nitrogen balance and an improved well-being. The calcium uptake is also increased, thus promoting calcium deposits in the bones.

Dianabol has a very strong anabolic and androgenic effect, which manifests itself in an enormous build-up of strength and muscle mass in its users. The compound works quickly and reliably, with gains of 2-4 pounds per week in the first six weeks widely reported. The additional bodyweight consists of a true increase in muscle tissue, and in particular, a noticeable retention of fluids.

Dianabol aromatises easily, so that the simultaneous administration of an anti-estrogen, such as Nolvadex or Arimidex, is wise. For this reason, it is rarely used as a pre-competition steroid. The dosage spectrum is very wide, with athletes taking between 2omg to 100mg per day. An effective daily dose is around 20-50mg/day. Steroid novices do not need more than 30mg – 40mg per day since this dose is sufficient to achieve exceptional results over a period of 6-8 weeks.

When the effect of Dianabol begins to slow down (mostly due to the steroid receptors being saturated at this time, and subsequently cannot hold any more of the compound), and the athlete wants to continue, the dosage should NOT be increased.

Since Dianabol’s half time life is roughly only 3 to 4.5 hours, application at least twice a day is necessary to achieve a somewhat even concentration of the substance in the blood. On days of intense training, the half time life is reduced even further, so the application of three times per day appears effective.

Dianabol is also 17-alpha alkylated, and thus largely protected against a loss in effect; it is recommended that the tablets be taken during meals so that possible gastrointestinal pains can be avoided. Interestingly, on the third day after discontinuing Dianabol, proof of the substance in the blood is negative. Dianabol is liver toxic. Even a dosage of 10mg /day can increase the liver values, however, after discontinuation, the values will return to normal.

Without doubt Dianabol is one of the main mass and strength compounds around and used correctly the athlete can have great results in a short space of time. When stacked with Deca or Boldenone (Equipoise) for example, one can achieve a great solid build-up of new muscle with less water retention than stacked with another highly aromatising compound.

Proper post cycle therapy with H.C.G and Clomid/Nolvadex is essential after a cycle of Dianabol/Anabol to help the body’s own testosterone production recover.
